Qutaiba started playing squash for the Jordanian national team as a junior in 1990, and represented Jordan in the seniors' team until 1997, when he travelled to England to pursue his higher education. During his stay there, he played for the University of Southampton in the British Universities league, as well as in the county league.
Thereafter, having retired from the international scene, he continued to play squash actively, while being involved in coaching the ladies' and the juniors' Jordanian national teams.
Qutaiba holds a BA degree in business administration and finance; an MBA from Southampton University, England; and an MSc in International Securities, Investment and Banking from the ICMA Centre Henley Business School (formerly ISMA Centre), Reading University, England.
In 2005, Qutaiba earned the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation & is currently a member of the CFA Institute in Charlottesville, Virginia and is the President of the CFA Jordan Society.
Qutaiba has a long track record of progressive banking experience extending over 13 years, and is currently the Head of Asset Management in AB Invest, a member company of the Arab Bank Group, a dominant leading banking institution in the Middle East & North Africa (MENA).
Qutaiba is currently heading the Jordan Squash Federation’s Refereeing Committee, with the objective of creating a generation of Jordanian world referees over the next 5 years.
