Yesterday afternoon witnessed mixed results for the Jordanian junior squad in the Hong Kong Junior Open 2012. Mohammad Al Sarraj playing in the BU15 category advanced to the second round after defeating Li Chi Hei from Hong Kong 3/0 (11-1, 11-4, 12-10).

In the BU17 category Ali Assaf of Jordan strolled into the second round after an easy win over Kwong Cheuk Hin Martin from Hong Kong beating him 3/0 (11-0, 11-4, 11-4).

Ibrahim Abu Laban playing in the BU15 category played very well in his second match of the day but was unable to handle the larger Ampandi Mohd Aqif from Malaysia. Abu Laban lost the match 3/0 (11-8, 11-7, 13-11) but won the respect and appreciation of his coach.

The other loss of the day for the Jordanians was in the BU13 category and at the hands of Chu Shun Ting from Hong Kong who defeated Mahmoud Ayesh from Jordan 3/0 (11-7, 11-3, 11-2).
